Good evening Mayor and Council members,

My name is ___________________ and I am a year resident of Huntington Beach. I am here tonight to discuss the sale of the LeBard school in South East Huntington Beach. Our city is a family community that needs both schools and open space. Can we remain a family community without schools? Without open space where our children can play?

The 2007/8 Community Profile states that one of the primary goals of the City land use policy is “maintaining and improving the quality of life for the current and future residents of Huntington Beach.” The purchase of the LeBard school property will retain the open space and baseball fields that are essentially part of LeBard park today. Council members, please do the right thing and purchase the LeBard school site. Thank you.

Hello people,

1. Latest news on the sale of LeBard!

Currently the School Board and the City Administration are still in negotiations for City of HB to purchase our LeBard. This process could take some time.
The city drafted letter of intent for the purchase of the LeBard property. We, on the “save our diamonds” committee, consider this a positive movement towards them purchasing it, but nothing is for sure.
As supporters of saving Seaview Little League, we can still possibly impact the city’s decision making process. We must take the following actions immediately and your help is needed:

We can then show the city council members that this is important for the Huntington Beach Community and the kids.

3. On June 14th, the first day of Tournament of Champions, we will have another raffle for 4 ‘premium’ tickets to an Angels game and many Angels items valued at over $200. We will draw a winner at the end of the day! Congratulations to Nadia Miller from T-ball Angels on winning the raffle for the Angels Tickets basket. Thanks for all the participation

4. The pictures that the kids drew letting us know how the want to save Seaview, went over very well! We will be drawing 5 pictures randomly and giving out FIVE $20 gift cards to Target! You may also find some of the pictures on www.SaveSeaview.com very soon!
